Alpen Village Hotel is located a short distance from the main resort centre although very much accessible via the regular shuttle bus service provided by the hotel. Meaning you get the quieter location, whilst having easy access to the liveliness of the Italian resort of Livigno. The best of both worlds!
There is a fairly lengthy transfer to this resort from the nearest airport (Innsbruck, Austria), but boy, is it worth it. The positioning of the mountains means the ski runs surround the resort within the valley, and are perfect for skiers and snowboarders alike, no matter whether beginners or more experienced on the slopes.
The hotel itself is a 3-star collection of recently-renovated chalet-style buildings, just a short walk from the ski lift that takes you up the Mottolino slopes. All guests are on a half-board basis, with a hearty buffet breakfast and a 3-course evening meal to see you through the cold snowy days. And if you take a break from the slopes during the day, why not relax in the lounge and enjoy a warming drink and homemade cake, looking out over the stunning setting from the panoramic windows. Fancy even more relaxation? Take a dip in the pool, sign up for a couple's spa treatment or soak up the wintry atmosphere in the outdoor hot tub. All this whilst the little ones are having a ball in the hotel-run kids club, that runs until late so you can enjoy an evening meal later than the kids dine and really enjoy the best of what the Italian's serve up on the slopes, along with the choice of over 250 wines!
