A good budget option for exploring the area is Eurocamp’s Baia Domizia by a sandy beach just north of the Bay of Naples, with three pools.

Alternatively, try an agriturismo – B&B accommodation on working farms, with homegrown produce often served/sold. See also properties on the Amalfi Coast with our partner Cottages.com, with an exclusive extra discount for our newsletter subscribers (sign up at the bottom of this page).

In Naples, we recommend the luxurious Romeo, which despite its slick design, spa and small rooftop pool with views of the harbour and Bay of Naples, also has an indoor play area, kids’ menu and other family amenities. The Aparthotel Plebiscito is also a popular option for those on a more restricted budget, with family rooms for up to four, some with kitchenettes.

In Capri, try the unpretentious and homely Villa Eva or the Hotel Carmencita, both with a certain old-fashioned charm, outdoor pools and family rooms.
