A unique, luxurious (and fairly pricey) resort on Montenegro's Adriatic coast, consisting of a villa complex on the mainland linked to a pedestrianised island where the main hotel and facilities (and array of cobbled streets and courtyards - those with issues getting around may find the area hard to negotiate) is located, accessed by a small walkway through the sea. Aman Sveti Stefan is located within an hour's drive from a choice of airports (including one in Croatia's capital) and the surrounding area is awash with charming villages, forests and beaches, plus a mass of historic places of interest; a perfect escape for the family.
Aman Sveti Stefan is stunning. Starting with the setting; the three sandy beaches make for the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a dip during the warmer months. The service is exceptional and what you would expect from a top class hotel chain. The decor and general ambience is of such a high standard you may not even want to get out and explore the area, just so you can make the most of the hotel and it's facilities, which include a top notch spa.
Each room and suite is individually decorated and furnished, many with sea views. The room type most suitable for families is the Milocer sea view suite, ideal for a family of four and plenty of space to laze around.
Although there are no such facilities for children there is a babysitting service should you want to enjoy an adult-only meal, and the choice of restaurants within the hotel complex is varied, from luxury a la carte menus to easy laid-back options, all using local produce.
This place is somewhat unique, and combined with the top class service and perfect coastal positioning, is a must for families (most probably with very young or teenagers) and should be on the dream-list of places to visit.
