Family-friendly days out in Spain

Brits have long had a love affair with Spain for its warm weather, gorgeous beaches, cities stuffed with architectural and historical delights, palaces, traditional villages and fine food. In hot weather, waterparks are a welcome sight, while Spanish cities have a lot to offer, with gorgeous buildings and plenty for kids to do. There’s always a palace or two to amble around followed by a runaround in gardens or parks. The castles and fortresses that are in plentiful supply (everyone has wanted a piece of the Spanish pie at some stage throughout history) make for great days out. Then, of course, there are the beaches – with more than 8,000km of coastline, there are too many to try to cherry-pick, but you’re guaranteed to find the perfect one.
