Off the main tourist track in Ibiza, in the north-east of the well-known party island, Villa Carmen offers a peaceful retreat away from the lively south. Located less than an hour from the airport (we recommend you hire a car for your duration on the island), you will head to San Carlos; a small village that oozes the typical Spanish laid-back way of life. However, this is not a shy retiring location, this was once the hippy hub of Ibiza and still prides itself on its bohemian and arty style, not least evident throught the long-running weekend market that explorers flock to experience.
The villa itself is perfect for large families or group gatherings. The 5 bedrooms (many of which are situated on the ground floor) are large and white-washed, making for a cool area to relax and sleep. The communal areas within the villa include a living/dining room and a fully-equipped kitchen where you can cook up a whole host of Spanish treats. However, the BBQ kitchen outside is probably more suited to al fresco dining on a warm Spanish evening. And there are areas dotted around the villa for relaxing, including pool loungers around the heated pool as well as hidden lounging areas such as the pagoda with day beds (the perfect place to get some shade), a large beehive-style hanging snug and various areas with chairs offering the perfect postions to relax, read a book or take a snooze; areas we are sure the older kids will make use of, and no doubt hook up to the free WiFi available at Villa Carmen.
