JOALI Maldives' unique aim is to immerse their guests in art in a wonderfully luxurious setting. This may all sound a little adult-focused but on the contrary, JOALI Maldives is also very much a place for children. Unlike many other Maldives resorts, families can select an overwater villa and there are options to suit families big and small, each with at least one private pool (some have two!). Year-round there is a kids club with lots of indoor and outdoor space to play as well as a pool and fun activities. Then in July-August, they also have a Summer Camp programme for children which sees them doing all sorts of things - from spending time with the resort's marine biologist to helping out in the garden, making pizzas to making pots in the art studio, tennis lessons to yoga classes in the Kids' Spa.

Of course, set on this beautiful island, JOALI Maldives will also offer lots of opportunities for the whole family to enjoy the ocean - on arrival you fly in by seaplane, the water villas and the beaches give you direct access for swimming and snorkeling and there's a whole range of watersports and boat trips on offer too - and what better place to introduce your children to diving and the wonders of the undersea world with a children's course at the dive school?!

Choose between staying on the island in a beach villa or in a water villa or residence set directly over the ocean. All are spacious and glamorous with inspiring artwork and luxurious amenities, and each has its own pool. You will also have your own dedicated Jadugar - private butler - to assist in arranging anything you need. Options for families include:

Childcare

Muramas Kids Club offers a programme of activities for children from 4 years but younger children can attend with a parent or babysitter. Activities may include arts & crafts, native storytelling, cookery classes, treasure hunts and yoga at the Kids Spa. The kids' club also has indoor and outdoor play areas and an outdoor pool area.

Summer Camp - in July and August the kids' club has a Summer Camp programme for children 4-12 years. Activities may include tennis clinics, cooking classes, sessions with the resort's Marine Biologist, pottery in the Art Studio, jewellery making, photography, gardening, a foam party and more.

The hotel can arrange a babysitter for younger children to attend the kids' club or for children who need 1 to 1 care (charge applies).

Location

JOALI is situated on Muravandhoo Island in the Raa Atoll. Direct flights to the Maldives are available from London. Indirect flights are available from London and other UK airports. On arrival at Male International Airport, JOALI has a private lounge for guests before transferring to the hotel, either by shared seaplane (approx. 40 minutes) or private seaplane. Please note that seaplane transfers are available only in daylight hours.
