One of the oldest and most iconic mountain hotels in Canada; The Fairmont Banff Springs offers guests a luxury hotel with everything a family should need on a ski holiday in North America. Modelled on a Scottish baronial castle it stands proudly on its own amongst a stunning landscape and is as opulent inside as it is imposing on the outside. Families coming here will benefit from a stay in a unique hotel, enjoying all of life’s little luxuries and creating some lasting memories that will be hard to beat.
The hotel is room-only (optional upgrades to include a full American breakfast), but has more than enough facilities to keep you going if you decide never to set foot outside during your stay. There are over 20 shops, various restaurants and bars, ballrooms, a beautiful spa (adults only) and it even comes with its own ice-skating rink. There’s a regular shuttle bus giving you access to the slopes and babysitting services are available on request if you decide you want to sit amongst the luxurious furnishings (think sets of armour, wooden carvings and heavy drapes) and enjoy some sophisticated adult-only time. While the hotel does welcome children, we would recommend it for families with older children.
Rooms are spacious and richly furnished, with huge beds, swathes of fabric and heavy dark furniture and can sleep up to four people in a King bed and either two Queen beds or a double bed.
