Family-friendly places to stay in The Cotswolds

A popular place with Londoners since the advent of motor cars, the Cotswolds is stuffed with excellent hotels and B&Bs, though the most picturesque towns and villages can be very expensive. If you’re on a tighter budget or need flexibility, there’s plenty of self-catering choice in the forms of cottages and converted barns and churches, or in the luxury lodges of Cotswold Lakeside Lodge.

Accommodation offered by our partners cottages.com includes a property on the prestigious but eco-friendly Lower Mill Estate, within a nature reserve, and several lodges in the Cotswold Water Park, on a private lake. The Water Park also has a few hotels/inns, including the family-friendly Four Pillars offering self-catering accommodation plus hotel rooms, and a spa.

There's also a family-oriented camping and caravan site at the Cotswold Farm Park (see Things to Do).
