How to get to The Cotswolds

Situated mainly within the counties of Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire but extending into parts of Wiltshire, Somerset, Worcestershire and Warwickshire, the Cotswolds’ fairly central location between the M5, M40 and M4 motorways makes it easy to reach from London (about 150km) and most other parts of the UK.

You can get here by train (to Stroud, Stonehouse, Gloucester or Cheltenham) or coach, but local transport is lousy so you really need a car to get around – ironically, given that this is such a great walking area.
