The Swan Hotel & Spa in the Lake District is the epitome of a luxury, comfortable, child-friendly place to stay and chill out. Situated on the edge of the River Leven near Lake Windermere, it has a view of the river to one side and gardens on the other.
It is well-maintained boutique hotel, offering great facilities, many child friendly. There's plenty to keep the kids busy, especially on rainy days, including an indoor pool, toys and books, plus dolls' houses and Playstations in some rooms, as well as bedtime milk and cookies. And if you choose to stay in one of the family-friendly holiday cottages you will have plenty of space.
If you want to explore the local area, options include an aerial adventure site, river-based activities and walking routes galore around the local lakes.
Staff can't do too much to help make your experience at The Swan Hotel & Spa relaxing, even with little kids in tow. The restaurant with its fabulous local produce includes a creative kids' menu. Little wonder this place attracts the same families back time and again.
