Sunninglye Farm, Tunbridge Wells, Kent

A simple and relaxing choice for family holidays and breaks yet one also offering certain luxury elements, Feather Down Farm Sunninglye is a family-run smallholding in Kent where kids can roam free and enjoy feeding the on-site animals and collecting eggs for breakfast and firewood for toasting marshmallows over a campfire.

There are no TV, electricity or mod cons but the safari-style tents are – true to the spirit of 'glamping' – spacious, cosy and in some ways quite luxurious. Kids love the adventure of sleeping in the 'cupboard bed'. Then when it comes to venturing outside, the fields are perfect for a family rounders game, or you can paddle or boat in the private pond, or even build a raft and go on a nature trail. Plus, your family dog is more than welcome, making Sunninglye perfect for all the family.
