How to get to Brighton and Hove

Brighton is an easy family holiday or break destination just under 1hr by train from London’s Victoria Station, with two departures each hour. There are also regular services from St Pancras International and London Bridge, and direct services from various destinations in England, Wales and Scotland.

National Express coaches from London are a cheaper option than trains but take nearly 2hrs. If you’re driving, Brighton is about about 45 minutes from the M25, but once there, you’ll find parking in short supply and expensive.

It’s also worth noting that Brighton is just 30mins from London Gatwick Airport, from which there are regular coach connections (as there are from Heathrow Airport, 90mins away).

For those coming from the Continent, Brighton is only 15km from Newhaven, from which there are ferries to France.
