Royal Caribbean: Independence of the Seas®, Worldwide

Flowriding aboard the Royal Caribbean - Independence of the Seas®.Flowriding aboard the Royal Caribbean - Independence of the Seas®.

A vast ship offering everything from a climbing wall to a surf simulator, from theatre shows to a casino, and from a juice station to a champagne bar, The Independence of the Seas® is a brilliant choice for families who enjoy spending quality time together on the water and exploring the cultures and activities of destinations in the Mediterranean, the Canary Islands or the Caribbean, with trips lasting anything from three nights to 14 nights.

There's childcare for ages 18 months to 11 years, a play area requiring parental supervision, and a DJ academy and pool parties for teens up to 17. While your offspring are having the time of their lives taking part in activities and games with their new friends, head to the onboard spa for a pamper session, work out at the gym, or relax in the adult-only pool area. As a family, enjoy a film at the open-air poolside cinema, watch the new-in-2016 stage show, Grease, and try a range of cuisines in the wide array of restaurants.

When it comes to down time, the Family Suites are ideal when cruising with kids – spacious enough to give everyone their own space, with the added bonus of a furnished balcony to admire the sea views.

When you book with Royal Caribbean, most aspects of your holiday are included in the price, including full-board accommodation and most activities. On all itineraries, you can pre-book shore excursions to explore the ports you stop at en-route and get involved in some fantastic activities on land.
