Summer Sun Family Holidays in Asia
Asia in the main UK school holidays or summertime as a whole – or in fact at any time of year, since average temperatures don’t vary a huge amount in this region – can be too hot for those with younger kids, unless you choose a hotel or resort with a crèche or kids’ club offering shelter and entertainment at the hottest times of day. You’ll also need to consider whether the expense, flying times and jetlag make it ‘worth it’ when you can find summer sunshine much closer to home.
As a rule of thumb, family holidays in Asia tend to centre on five-star and/or all-inclusive hotels, although villas are popular too and can be a bargain when compared with those of an equivalent standard elsewhere. Pools and the proximity of good beaches (with diving opportunities for aficionados) are not a bonus but a must if you opt to come here any time of year and are not staying in a city. See our special offer and latest deals with partners including all-inclusive specialist Club Med.
If you do choose this part of the world at this or any other time of year, look at our Asia destination guides if you want to avoid the wet seasons in any given country (though showers tend to be brief if frequent).
