Spend 14-days on a guide-led family adventure holiday in China. Suitable for children aged 5 and up, you will join a group of no more than 16 to explore this awe-inspiring country, and as well as admiring the Great Wall of China you will visit a Panda sanctuary, see the Terracotta Warriors and meet locals in traditional villages on your travels through this amazing country.

The journey starts in Beijing, then you head on an overnight train to visit temples and caves, your trip draws to an end after you have cycled through a series of villages and of course, you will have many opportunities to enjoy traditional Chinese feasts along the way. 

When

Tours mainly operate in April, July, August, September and October; perfect for the school summer holidays.

Stay

Hotels (11 nights) and over-night sleeper train (1 night). Meals included: 12 breakfasts, 1 lunch and 4 dinners.

Price

From £2060 per adult and £1854 per child including accommodation, domestic travel, some excursions and some meals. Flights can be arranged for an additional cost.

Itinerary

Day 1

Welcome meeting with your group at 6pm in your Beijing hotel. Make sure you explore the city if you arrive early.

Day 2

Walk part of the Great Wall of China (or take the cable car if your legs are not up to it), head back to Beijing for a group meal then explore the city at your leisure for the evening.

Day 3

Visit Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City then spend the evening watching an acrobatics show.

Day 4

See more of Beijing, and visit Temple of Heaven Park. The board the overnight train to Xi'an.

Day 5

Walking and cycle tour of Xi'an, followed by a night tour of the city and group meal.

Day 6

You will go and see the Terrcota Warriers.

Day 7

Take a flight to Chengdu - explore the city on a walking tour and visit the local tea house's, ending the day with a group meal.

Day 8

Visit the panda research centre.

Day 9

Flight to Guilin then a transfer to Yangshou for a taste of the slower pace of life in China.

Day 10

Experience more of Yangshou. Start your day with Kung Fu or Thai Chi, then visit a farmer's market and learn the art of Chinese cookery.

Day 11

Explore the Yangshou countryside on bikes with lunch at a farmer's restaurant and a bus transfer back to your hotel.

Day 12

Take the Bullet train towards Hong Kong, arriving in the evening for a laser show on Victoria Harbour.

Day 13

Orientation walk of the area then free time to explore more of Hong Kong.

Day 14

Depart Hong Kong or stay a few extra nights; ask our travel agent for more information.
