Day 1

Airport transfer from the airport to your hotel in Hanoi. Welcome meeting with your group at 6pm.

Day 2

Full tour of Hanoi, visiting many of the key sights plus lunch at a traditional restaurant. The evening includes a water puppet show.

Day 3

Four-hour minibus ride to Halong Bay followed by a private boat tour of the bay and the opportunity to swim and explore the caves in the Vietnam East Sea. Sleep on-board the boat.

Day 4

Return to Hanoi and jump on an overnight train to Hue.

Day 5

Arrive in Hue for breakfast followed by a dragon boat ride on the Perfume River, visiting key sites (Buddist monastry and tombs) along the route.

Day 6

See more of Hue including the Forbidden Purple City.

Day 7

Four-hour bus ride to World Heritage site city of Hanoi where you can shop 'till you drop, spotting rice paddy field en-route.

Day 8

Cua Dai beach for a picnic followed by wonton cake-making class back in Hanoi.

Day 9

Free time to explore Hanoi. Additional excursions can be arranged.

Day 10

Short flight to Ho Chi Minh City. After a short orientation tour, explore the markets and try the street food .

Day 11

Mekong Delta and explore the famous tropical fruit fields. Jump on a private boat and see the sights of the waterways and head into a family home for a real-life experience, where you will also sleep for the night.

Day 12/13

Visit an early morning market then head back to Ho Chi Minh City where you can explore more at your own pace. Then take your flight home, or extend your trip on day 13.
