A Magical Trip in Search of Father Christmas
This magical trip takes you to beautiful Finnish Lapland for a wonderful family adventure. Each day an array of fun activities are planned, ranging from snow sculpting to feeding wildlife with Father Christmas' elves; from enjoying a sleigh ride through the snow to racing on toboggans. Of course, the highlight of the trip for everyone is that you will get to meet Father Christmas - and not only that; you also get to spend time at his house, playing games, making things and enjoying a meal together. This really is a special family trip that will leave you with amazing memories.

Stay
Accommodation is in modern, semi-detached cottages in the grounds of the Hotel Kuusamon Tropiikki. The cottages are set among the trees, approx. 5 minutes walk from the main hotel building.
Cottage facilities:
- 2-bedrooms (1 twin and 1 double - which can also be made up as a twin)
- Wood-burning stove (firewood provided)
- Sauna
- Well-equipped kitchenette incl. kettle
- TV and free WiFi
- Linen, towels and end of stay cleaning are included

Itinerary
Day 1: Fly via Helsinki to Kuusamo in Finnish Lapland. A driver will meet you to take you to your accommodation.
Overnight: 4 nights in your own semi-detached cottage at the Hotel Kuusamon Tropikki.
Day 2: Today you will meet some of Lapland's most popular residents - huskies and reindeer. The adults will drive the husky sleds through the beautiful scenery while the children snuggle inside the sleds. After you've had time for cuddles and photos with the huskies you'll meet Father Christmas' most important animals, the reindeer. Cosy, under blankets, a sleigh will whisk you across the snow. Next, you will have lunch at a local restaurant before returning to the hotel, with time to enjoy the pool.
Late in the afternoon, you'll be taken on a magical journey into the wilderness for a fun evening of games and traditional food - you'll build snow sculptures and help the elves feed local wildlife before enjoying a meal in a hidden restaurant.
Day 3: This activity-filled day will see you try kick-sledging and tobogganing before you head off on snowshoes to hunt for Father Christmas, looking out for clues along the way. If you don't spot him today, look out for an invitation to join him for lunch tomorrow at his secret house.
Again you'll have time to enjoy the facilities of the hotel in the afternoon. Then in the evening, you'll be taken to another wilderness lodge for a magical winter meal.
Day 4: This morning an elf will arrive to take you to Father Christmas' beautiful lakeside house. You'll meet the man himself, along with his wife. There will be fun and games, stories by the fire and a sledging race (watch out for those speedy elves!). Mrs Claus will make you a delicious lunch and you can help her with some baking and making greetings cards for friends back home (Father Christmas will even sign them with you). At the end of the day, you will head back to the hotel for dinner.
Day 5: Time to say goodbye to Lapland, pack up your wonderful memories and take them home to treasure.
