Price

From £1319 per adult depending on departure date and airport, and whether you book a three- or four-day break in Lapland. All prices are based on minimum occupancy and include return flights to Ivalo, transfers, activities, thermal clothing and taxes. Infants are charged at £150 and reduced rates for children. Itinerary

Day One

You will be greeted at Ivalo Airport by a reindeer with its Sami handler, and one of Santa's elves. After 25-minute coach-ride to your hotel in Saariselkä you'll will be fitted with your complimentary thermal oversuits, boots, gloves and hats. Then it's free time to get your bearings, make snowmen, go tobogganing or just relax before a wilderness dinner and igloo experience in the woods with Sami myths and stories to boot.

Day Two

The highlight of the day is a Snowmobile Safari Adventure. Grown-ups can drive if they want to; kids are towed in special sledges, or older ones can ride pillion behind a parent. Hot drinks around a crackling campfire with toboggans laid on to keep youngsters happy complete the picture. Lunch is in a local restaurant to boost energy levels before an afternoon of optional activities or, if you prefer, exploring the area at your own pace. Also try Reindeer sleigh rides, downhill skiing or take part in the evening Northern Lights adventure. Evening meal will be back at the hotel.

Day Three

Today you will head off on snowmobiles to a husky farm then jump on a husky-led sled. You will have lunch back at the hotel to re-fuel for the afternoon adventure that include your fairy-tale reindeer ride to search for Santa at his hideaway log cabin home. Each family gets an exclusive meeting. Then back to the hotel for dinner or head back to the UK late afternoon.

Day Four - optional day

Choose your optional adventures (can be pre-booked in the UK or chosen the night before). You may have fallen in love with the huskies and want to enjoy the sled ride again, or perhaps experience skiing (Nordic style or downhill). You set off after lunch for the airport.

Note: an optional extra day can be booked for an additional cost, giving you more time to try new snow adventures and see more sights.
