And if you want to stay longer than the eight days, you can extend your trip and see more of sister island Malta a 30-minute ferry ride from Gozo, try further activities, or just relax at the hotel after an action-packed week of family fun.

Trip age: 8 years and over (occasionally younger siblings may be accommodated, but they may not be able to participate in all activities).
Group size: Up to 24

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and welcome.

On arrival at the airport in Malta, you will travel to Gozo. It takes approximately 2 hours, including a 20-minute ferry crossing. Once settled into your hotel, meet your guide and find out more about the week ahead before enjoying a welcome barbeque.

Day 2: Sea beach afternoon.

Follow your guide as you paddle along the coast on 'sit on top' kayaks, each with 2 or 3 people (children under 10 paddle with 2 adults). In the afternoon, enjoy the beach and the option to take a dip in the sea.

Day 3: Discover scuba diving or snorkelling.

Today you can have an introduction to scuba diving, starting in the classroom and then a practice dive to get used to your equipment. You'll then have the chance to do a second dive and hopefully encounter some wonderful marine life. Children aged 8 and 9, will instead have a PADI 'Bubble Maker' session to introduce them to diving, with a shallow dive in pool-like conditions followed by a second dive up to 2m. Parents can join their children on the second dive. Children under 8 are too young to dive but will be introduced to snorkelling instead.

Day 4: Free day.

Today the schedule is up to you. Relax by the pool, head to the beach or go off exploring - each family can decide what they'd like to do.

Day 5: Lazy boat day.

A guided boat tour will take you along the splendid coastline of Gozo with its awe-inspiring cliffs and then on to its smaller neighbour, Comino. This little island is home to the famed 'Blue Lagoon' - an idyllic spot with crystal clear aquamarine waters and white sand. Along the way there will be stops for swimming, and if you take your own snorkelling gear, snorkeling too.

Day 6: Cook like a local.

Discover more about Gozo, its people and traditions - and in particular their love of delicious food. Learn how to cook some local specialties and then enjoy it for lunch!

Day 7: Climbing and beach afternoon.

The island's rocky landscape is a haven for climbing. Local instructors will introduce you to some wonderful climbing routes with spectacular views. Later there's time to head to the beach for swimming and snorkelling (again, you need to take your own equipment).

Day 8: Time to go home...or stay a little longer?

Sadly this is the end of the trip and transfers will be arranged to suit your return flight time. Alternatively, if you'd like to stay longer, we can extend your stay so you have more time to explore more of these beautiful islands.
