Children's Festival Takes Over Southbank

Tuesday 12 February 2013

Running from 11th to 24th Feb, the Imagine Children’s Festival of literature, dance, theatre and art "for children by children" offers a fantastic line-up of authors, performances, workshops and free events chosen by a panel of pupils from eight local schools. Highlights include talks by children's author David Walliams and Frank Cottrell Boyce.

While some events are ticketed, many are free, including building a giant LEGO® book, finding huge sculptures hidden around the site, performing on the kids' stage, and finding Wally (with prizes for those who comes dressed up as the character).

From 15th to 24th, the Real Food Market will also run on Southbank Centre Square, offering street food including child portions.
