Disney Announces Star Wars Themeparks

Wednesday 02 September 2015

Disney Star Wars themeparks

In advance of the first Disney-owned Star Wars movie, scheduled for release December 2015, Disney has announced that it will open Star Wars themeparks at both Disneyland Resort California and Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.

The largest single themed expansions in the history of Disney themeparks, the 14-acre attractions will feature rides based on characters from both the original and the forthcoming film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Walt Disney World Resort currently comprises four theme-parks and two waterparks: Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Epcot, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. Disney’s Hollywood Studios has also announced that a Toy Story land is to be introduced, while a Frozen attraction is scheduled to make its debut at Epcot in 2016.

Family holidays to the US and theme parks go hand-in-hand. So why not check out the range of places to stay that we recommend for families at Walt Disney World Resort or contact us direct to receive a family holiday quote to either Florida or Disneyland Resort California.
