SEA LIFE centres around the UK are poised to host a new event designed to share the excitement of – and the messages behind – the new Disney•Pixar movie Finding Dory, released on 29th July 2019. Taking the form of an interactive trail led by Hank the cantankerous octopus, visitors will learn a number of fishy facts as well as collecting letters they need to unscramble to win a prize.
Venues hosting the trail from 16th July to 11th September 2016 are SEA LIFE London Aquarium, Birmingham, Brighton, Weymouth, Cornish Seal Sanctuary, Great Yarmouth, Hunstanton, Loch Lomond, Manchester, Scarborough, Blackpool, and Bray.
Said organiser Jamie Turner: “Like Finding Nemo before it, the new film is likely to inspire an interest in marine life among millions of children […] We have many of the real sea creatures in our displays that the film’s characters are based on, and with their help we believe we can reinforce the messages which are at the heart of the film, about the importance of looking after our seas and of sharing experiences with family and friends.
A long-awaited sequel to Finding Nemo, Finding Dory is the tale of Dory’s quest to find her own family, helped by Nemo, Marlin and new characters that they meet on the way to California’s Marine Life Institute rehabilitation center and aquarium.
