Holidays Set to Fall in Price in 2015

Wednesday 24 December 2014

Family on the beach

Industry experts including the International Air Transport Association (IATA) are predicting cheaper and even half-price holidays in 2015 as a result of lower oil prices, the APD cut for under-12s and a global upturn. Savings are expected to be especially huge on holidays to Florida, Mexico and Spain.

The average air fare is expected to fall by more than 5%, but some fares have already been cut by up to half - and industry insiders assert that the discounts will even cover the Easter and summer school holidays, which will no doubt be greatly appreciated by parents.

For winter breaks, expect bargains to Greece, Florida and Mexico, and to Spain look out for half-price Easter flights. Cheap flights are also starting to show up for Morocco, Portugal and Prague.

Boxing Day sees the start of the rush for summer holiday discounts and bargains. For inspiration, see our Special Offers section.
