Strikes are continuing to cause disruptions on cross-Channel ferry routes, with all sailings between Calais and Dover cancelled in the second wave of industrial action in a week. Last week's strike resulted in 36 hours of disruption, including ferry cancellations and disruption to Eurotunnel services.
Those with ferry bookings are advised to contact their operator before making their way to Calais or Dover. DFDS is sailing from Dover to Dunkirk and has added services to accommodate Calais passengers but is urging those who head to Dunkirk instead to leave extra time to check in because of disruption. Eurotunnel trains are running normally. It will also be worth considering ferry travel between the UK and Caen, Cherbourg or St Malo, especially if you intend to travel to Normandy, Brittany or western France; to limit distruption to your journey.
