Ryanair Launches Family Product

Tuesday 17 June 2014

Ryanair family policy changes

At a press conference in London today, Ireland-based low-cost airline Ryanair is expected to unveil discounts for families for allocated seating and an extra baggage allowance for those travelling with kids. Other novelties anticipated including a frequent flyers scheme for families and possibly a baby milk-warming service.

The changes come on the back of the airline's change in policy on seating earlier this year – fully allocated seating now means parents and children are guaranteed to be able sit together.

Said Ryanair chief executive and father of 4, Michael O'Leary: “The biggest difficulty was trying to get seats next to one another when there is no allocated seating. It helped me appreciate why it’s such a big issue for our customers.”
