You don’t have to break the budget to go on an Al Fresco Holiday and, even better, you’re not penalised for the number of kids you have. Whether you’re a bijou party or travelling with a small football team, Al Fresco take pride in keeping prices as low as they can, are flexible with dates (useful when you’re balancing the diary against the school calendar and costly flights) and charge per accommodation rather than per person.
Once you’ve packed your posse up and arrived at your chosen destination, you’ll find plenty to do. Kids’ Clubs (currently at 11 of the sites) are free, although some activities such as pizza parties and breakfast clubs may cost extra so it’s always worth checking. Arts and crafts, themed parties, team challenges and model making should keep audiences enraptured and there are even swimming and cycle lessons available so if you haven’t managed to get your little ones on a bike or in the water yet, now’s your chance.
If you’re all feeling energetic activity cards will give you access and discounts to facilities and you can expect to find the likes of tennis, football, archery, climbing walls, table tennis and of course, swimming pools for the kids (and you) to lounge by and jump in. There are plenty of stop off points for a quick refreshment if people are getting cranky (ice-cream shops, bars, coffee-shops, etc.) and you’ll find pizzerias, restaurants and takeaways as well. So, while the sites are usually located in prime positions close to hot tourist spots, you may find it hard to motivate yourselves to leave in the first place with everything on tap making life easy.
The mobile homes are fully equipped and comfortable and you can always upgrade for a master bedroom en-suite and armchairs on the extended decking with full shaded canopies for outdoor luxury living.
