As soon as you set foot inside the resorts you can relax knowing that every little whim of your kids (and yours) can safely be agreed to, without having to dip back into the purse strings again and again. The kids’ clubs are set up to pander to all demands with fully equipped facilities. Expect the likes of face painting, toddler pools, treasure hunts, puppets, dressing-up time, magic shows and good old traditional bucket and spade fun for the youngsters with carefully primed nannies on hand to ensure every day is exciting.

For the older kids everything is set up to make good use of all that boundless energy. Expect the likes of sailing, snorkeling (ages 8-10), pizza making and reggae jam sessions to get into the Caribbean beat. Teens aren’t going to spoil your holiday with sulks and show downs. Fully catered for with pizza bars and their own “nightclub” with karaoke, they can enjoy their own teen space hanging out or taking to the water for pool olympics, discos, dance parties and talent shows. And have we mentioned the waterparks? Included in the cost, Pirates Island is a watery paradise, complete with gigantic waterslides, kid-friendly pools, water cannons and swim-up soda-bars where the tables are turned and no grown-ups are allowed. 

If you’re starting to feel left out don’t worry. You can have fun on and off the water as well.
