This holiday is all about getting out and about and letting your children run free, unfettered by normal rules. Here they’ll have the chance to roam through glorious Welsh countryside and get back to basics. Down the screens and head outside for days of frollicking through the waves, climbing trees, exploring trails and building sandcastles on the endless stretches of sand.
Activities abound and all have a healthy focus on the great outdoors. Your kids will puff up with pride when they become Bluestone Rangers, learning how to build dens, look for bugs and get mucky. For older children The Steep Ravine gets your kids experiencing high ropes, tree climbing and zip wires and afterwards they can sit around a campfire boasting about their day and toasting marshmallows.
While every day will be a fun-filled day sun isn’t always guaranteed. For those rainy days when donning the wellies doesn’t appeal, you can all head to The Adventure Centre where the fun of the outdoors has been brought inside. Here you’ll find a stack of activities, meaning the wet weather won’t stop the kids from letting off steam. Try a round of crazy-golf or sit back with a coffee and let the kids do the work on the Sky Trail and The Wall. Even the smallest of customers will be kept happy with Baby Sensory and Messy Play sessions.
Or take a dip in the The Blue Lagoon water park (entrance included for Bluestone guests) and have fun on the flumes. Your kids will love the wave machine and following the lazy river.
Then you can head back to your lodge, which has all the comforts of home, or a holiday cottage in the middle of the local village. Expect fluffy towels, expansive kitchens and those all important comfy beds with crisp linens to collapse in.
