Andrew Eames

Andrew EamesTravel writer and journalist Andrew Eames, father of two and husband to one, is increasingly aware that the days of holidaying with his children are numbered. Thomas and Rhena are now both in their early teens, and beginning to prefer the company of friends to that of their parents. But it is has been a great shared experience: over the years the family has travelled widely, from trekking in Nepal to flotilla-sailing in Turkey, from farm-staying in Slovenia to temple-visiting in Sri Lanka, with a few campsite experiences in France along the way.

Many of these adventures have been written up in the Times, Daily Telegraph, Evening Standard and Daily Express, to which Eames is a regular contributor. He also turns his hands to books, recent productions being The 8.55 to Baghdad, Something Different for the Weekend and the forthcoming Blue River, Black Sea, his account of his journey down the Danube from source to delta.
