Victoria Palace Hotel, Paris
Oozing old-fashioned charm and the elegance of a bygone era, this family-run hotel in Paris's Latin Quarter, within a few minutes' walk of the Luxembourg Gardens as well as a Metro station, is a little gem, with classically decorated rooms, friendly staff and an extensive breakfast buffet including chocolate croissants.
Rooms are large and spacious, with interconnecting rooms and suites available for parents who want more privacy and/or are travelling with older kids. Children aged 4–12 who stay two nights or longer get their own personalised book about their stay, plus toys and sweets.
