Family Adventure Holiday in Argentina
Argentina is a superb destination for families who love adventures in spectacular landscapes amidst epic wildlife, combined with fascinating culture. A tailor-made adventure holiday is the best way to get to grips with it, especially with kids. And age-wise, Argentina is best saved until children are older (12 and up), when they are best equipped to make the most of all it has to offer. That said, the following trip ideas can be customised to suit families with kids of any age at the parents’ discretion.
We recommend Northern Argentina for wildlife lovers; its inhabitants include llamas, wetland capybaras and alligators, and jungle toucans and macaws in the jungle. You can can combine these with a trip to see the magnificent natural spectacle of the Iguazu Falls on the border with Brazil. Alternatively, you might head to the buzzing capital Buenos Aires, Los Glaciares National Park and the Patagonia region (the southernmost tip of South America, which Argentina shares with Chile). In this more southerly adventure, the activities on offer range from seeing a tango show or even learning to dance it yourself to whale-watching, mountain-hiking and finding out about life as a gaucho on a Patagonian ranch. Or why not ask us about combining the two for a true once-in-a-lifetime adventure in Argentina?
