Family-friendly places to stay in Ras Al Khaimah

The increasing popularity of Ras al Khaimah as a holiday destination is testified to by Thomas Cook opening its first own-brand hotel in the UAE. Slated to open in November 2017, the Ras Al Khaimah Beach Resort will comprise 253 chalets, a 700m private beach, three pools, a spa, and tennis and watersports facilities.

Most families holidaying in Ras al Khaimah plump for luxury beach or desert resorts, of which there are a few superb examples – some on the Al Marjan Island artificial archipelago and one in the 1,235-acre Al Wadi Nature Reserve. Many of Ras al Khaimah’s family-friendly hotels have great kids’ clubs.

However, there are also several apart-hotels for those who prefer the flexibility of self-catering, and you’ll probably want to treat the kids to a night in the desert at the Bedouin Oasis Camp.
