Harriniva & Jeris Family Active Adventures

Escape the fast pace of daily life with a family adventure at the lakeside hotels of Harriniva and Jeris, deep in the heart of Finnish Lapland. Surrounded by pine forest, these wilderness resorts offer a plethora of family-friendly activities in both summer and winter. 

In summer, the lake takes centre stage for swimming and canoeing, or you can hike in the forest and enjoy the thrill of river rafting. In winter, the lake freezes over, extending the playground for snowy activities such as snowmobiling, dog sledding and cross-country skiing. 

Your base can be a comfortable family room, a cosy log cabin or a glass-fronted suite - perfect for watching the Northern Lights, if you're on a winter trip and they come out to play (you can opt to be alerted by the hotel, via your phone, so you don't miss them). And full board is offered too, so you can enjoy all your meals in the hotel restaurant, sampling delights that focus on local produce.

Whether you're looking for a short but sweet break or a longer family holiday, if you enjoy being active, these beautiful places are sure to leave the whole family with happy memories.

Itinerary

Choose between 3-4-night or 5-7-night itineraries, each with a selection of family-friendly activities. These vary by season and include options such as:

Hotel Hariniva Option: TBC

Hotel Jeris Option: On the shores of Lake Jerisjarvi, the hotel is approx. 20km from the nearest town - the perfect setting to escape from everyday life in the magic of the wilderness of Finnish Lapland. Choose between double or twin rooms (sleeping up to 4 - the 4th bed is only suitable for young children) in the main hotel or one of 32 cottages in the surrounding forest.

Looking for something extra special?

If you'd like to add something extra special, you can add any of the following to your holiday:

  • A night in the Arctic Firefox Lodge - a private lakeside retreat with panoramic views across Lake Jerisjarvi and a clear room that offers unobstructed views of the night sky.
