Each of the accommodation options at Apukka has its own charm, and there is plenty of space for families of all sizes, ranging from cosy igloo cabins to a stone villa sleeping up to 14. Each has windows that make the most of the beautiful surroundings, but if you're staying in winter, choosing an option with a glass roof is particularly popular, so that you can gaze in wonder at the Northern Lights from the comfort of your beds, should they make an appearance during your visit.

Accommodation
Accommodation at Apukka Resort combines modern luxury with traditional touches, such as the use of timber and fur-style soft furnishings. They also make the most of the beautiful surroundings with panoramic windows and some suites with glass roofs - perfect for watching the Northern Lights, should they appear. Options for families include:
- Kammi and Komsio Glass Igloo Suites - sleep up to 4, with lower living area, with sofa bed and fully-equipped kitchenette, and spiral staircase leading to upper floor with bedroom and glass roof.
- Aurora Cabins - sleep up to 4 or up to 6, with an open-plan bedroom/living area with king bed, sofa bed and a glass roof above the main bed. The bigger cabins have an additional double bed in a separate alcove.
- Lakeview Suites - sleep up to 6, with 2 bedrooms and a living area 2 sofa beds and kitchenette.
- Villa Apukka - sleeps up to 14 in a 2-storey historical stone house with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room with circular fireplace, kitchen/dining room and sauna.
Board basis: Breakfast is included.
At Apukka Resort there is snowmobile fun for adults and children.
Location
In the winter months, you can fly directly to Rovaniemi from a number of UK airports. In the summer and autumn, flights are indirect, normally via Helsinki. The resort is only a 10-minute drive from Rovaniemi Airport.
Where better to meet Father Christmas than at home in Lapland - you can even meet him in summer if you want.
Lapland is not just open for winter. It's a beautiful place for a summer holiday too.
