Quinta Jardins do Lago is an 18th-century Manor House, or 'Quinta', set upon the hillside in a suburb of the small city of Funchal on the Portuguese island of Madeira. Surrounded by beautiful, botanical gardens, it is a wonderful haven for a family holiday with plenty of space to play and explore - keep an eye out for Colombo, the giant tortoise, as well as fish, swans and other local birds, amid the lush vegetation and colourful tropical flowers, for which Madeira is known.

The hotel retains the classical style of the original Quinta and offers a relaxing setting to use as a base from which to explore this beautiful island. They welcome families and provide low-key facilities such as croquet on the lawn and a games room, as well as swimming pools. There is also a choice of dining, with fine dining in the Beresford Restaurant for families with older children, and a more relaxed bistro, by the pool, which serves a delicious menu, using locally sourced ingredients.

Standard Garden View Rooms - sleep up to 3 people with double and single beds. There is a separate seating area and balcony.
Superior Garden View Rooms - sleep 3, as per standard rooms, but superior rooms are south-facing.
Historical Junior Suites - sleep up to 3 people with double and single beds. They are located in the Manor House and have a seating area and a south-facing balcony.
Premier Suites - sleep up to 3 people with a bedroom and separate living room. They also have a large balcony and south-facing views.
