Reid's Palace , Madeira| Take the Family

The famous Reid's Palace hotel is perched on a cliff in a prime position, with wonderful views along the coast. Located close to the centre of Funchal, it makes a great base from which to explore. However, the hotel itself has a lot to offer too, with tennis courts, a choice of pools set in the beautiful gardens and even steps from the rocks below the hotel to give you direct access for swimming in the ocean. There are also fun activities at the kids' club and there is a choice of restaurants offering delicious menus - as well as their famous afternoon tea. Classic Rooms - sleep 2 and have a balcony with partial ocean view. Some rooms can be interconnected.
Superior Rooms - sleep 3 and have a private balcony or patio. Some rooms can be interconnected.

Childcare

Reid's Palace has a children's club for children from 3-9 years old (younger children may also go, but with a parent to supervise). The club is located in a copy of a traditional Madeiran house (normally found in Santana) open Mon-Fri and offers a fun programme of activities, which may include things such as:

Banana harvesting - learn how to pick some of Madeira's tiny, tasty bananas

Evening club: the hotel offers an evening club where children can go to watch movies or play games while their parents dine. Places must be booked by 3pm the same day.
