Mark Warner's purpose-built 5-star family property on the western coast of mainland Greece is just a 30-minute transfer from the airport, adding to its appeal for families with children of all ages but especially younger ones.
Kids are extremely well catered for, with childcare available six days a week from four months through to 17 years, as well as evening-listening sessions. During the club sessions (depending on age and ability) they can get involved in water-sports tuition, so you could return home with a budding sailor or windsurfer. And you yourself could take up the variety of water sports on offer with tuition sessions available, as well as guided bike rides around the region and yoga sessions to unwind, perhaps followed with time in the spa.
The resort itself isn't too large to navigate around. There are just 120 rooms in a selection of low-rise buildings, ranging from doubles through to suites, so if just two of you and a baby stay or you have a brood with two or three kids, there are options to suit and all have access to outside balcony or terrace so you can enjoy the outdoors in your own private space.
Then if you want to get out and explore the region, a leisurely walk or cycle will take you to the quaint fishing villages that dot the coastline with a wealth of tavernas so you can seek out an authentic Greek family holiday whilst staying in an active beach resort where watersports and childcare are top of the agenda.
