Vila Vita Parc, Algarve
Winning itself scores of repeat customers and rave reviews, the Vila Vita Parc is generally regarded by parents as a good-value option for luxury family holidays in Portugal's child-friendly Algarve region and indeed rates as one of the very best family hotels in Portugal. There is an array of activities for children ranging from six months of age to teens, plus an extensive spa and fitness amenities including free yoga and Pilates.
Golf buggies get you around this vast clifftop complex, which rarely feels crowded – although you should pre-book restaurants (one of which is Michelin-starred) in busier months. Some of the stylish and airy family suites feature home cinemas and espresso machines, or there are a few gorgeous villas sleeping from four to 10 people – making this a great option for large families or for holidays with grandparents.
The super-friendly staff are one of Vila Vita’s greatest assets; less favoured is its small cove beach, which is tricky to access and lacks facilities, but complimentary shuttles take guests to a better one nearby.

Accommodation
173 rooms in 4 clifftop buildings. Cots available.
Oasis Parc is ideal for families, with two-storey Moorish-style buildings with 60 suites, 23 of them with 2 bedrooms for up to 5 (in a double and twin, plus room for a cot).
Alternatively, there are 2-bedroom Vital Suites beside the spa.
In the main building, Deluxe rooms sleep up to 3 in a bedroom and living areas with a sofabed.
Four Private Villas sleep 4–10 people, each with a kitchen, a private pool, access to a secluded beach and a hospitality team.
