Children will love the on-site Life Centre. They will experience science come to life through butterfly programmes and interactive explanations of the forest's unique species. Days at Mashpi lodge are filled with adrenaline. Activities range from hiking to the remote jungle waterfalls to soaring through the canopy on the Sky Bike - a tandem bike, suspended on a wire, so you can pedal your way through the tree canopy. Another highlight is the Dragonfly- an aerial open gondola in which you can explore the forest with a guide, stopping off at various points of interest along the way.

After a busy day, the dining experience at Mashpi lodge is more than just a meal. The floor-to-ceiling windows provide panoramic views of the natural surroundings, and every dish is made with the freshest local ingredients, mainly sourced from nearby forests and farms, blending traditional flavours with contemporary flair.

The rooms and suites in the lodge have a luxurious, modern style with floor-to-ceiling glass so that you feel part of the forest and can enjoy looking out for passing wildlife. Choose between rooms on the lower levels, looking out on the forest floor, and rooms up high in the tree canopy. Options for families at the Mashpi Lodge include:

Location

Flights to Quito in Ecuador are indirect, with a flight time from about 17 hours (depending upon route and stopover length), with options available from a number of UK airports. Mashpi Lodge is located approx. 100km from Quito Airport (approx. 3-4 hours by car).
