Self-Catering Family Holidays in North America

Whether you’re skiing in Whistler, seeing the sights of New York City or experiencing the thrill rides of Orlando, we’ve got it covered when it comes to self-catering accommodation in the United States and Canada. Just as in the rest of the world, self catering can save you money as well as offering families more flexibility and freedom than a hotel. Even if you’ll be out having too much fun to cook, kitchens or kitchenettes are useful for breakfasts and the odd meal, for heating bottles and baby food, and for making snacks and picnics to take out with you.

Apartments and condos are the classic North American option, particularly for city breaks and for ski holidays. Apart-hotels can be even better, combining the extra space and kitchen facilities with some of the facilities of a hotel (perhaps a swimming pool, restaurant, launderette, maid service and kids’ club…). In a similar vein, some resorts have self-catering units in addition to rooms. In Florida in particular, villas are a popular self-catering option for family holidays, or in more remote rural areas you might go native in a lodge.
